My name is Dominique Hart, I am a 24 year old artist born and raised in Olympia Washington.

My work is a reflection of the intricate relationship between nature, the human experience, and my personal journey through struggles with depression and anxiety. Utilizing a diverse array of media—oil and acrylic paints, watercolor, block printing, mixed media, collage and various drawing techniques—I seek to convey the complexity of emotion and the beauty that can emerge in both the serenity and turmoil of nature and humankind.

Nature, especially animals, serves as both a backdrop and a central theme in my art, offering solace and inspiration. Most of my pieces are an exploration of the natural world, the human figure, or the relationship between both. The other half of my subject matter is focused around my struggles with anxiety and depression where I aim to tell a story that can help my audience with their own personal battles.

Through my art, I aim to foster connection and understanding, welcoming viewers to explore their own emotions and experiences. Each work is an invitation to witness the beauty in Gods creation, the beauty behind struggle, and to find light amongst the shadows.
